Our Clay Depth Guides are great for making consistent thickness clay ideal for making polymer jewelry making and other crafts.
The depth guides act as a multi tool and have rulers engraved on them displaying both millimeters and inches on each piece. There is also a small groove at the top of each ruler to allow you to hang an earring and easily see and show the drop length of your earrings.
Our Clay Depth Guides are all sold as a pack of 2 and are available in thicknesses from 1.5mm to 4mm. Made by us in Thailand from laser cut acrylic.
Clay Cutter Details
- Cutting Edge is 0.4mm, leaving clean cuts that require minimal sanding.
- Sizes listed are in mm and are measured from the inside edges of the cutters and represent the finished size of your clay pieces.
- Clay Cutters with Inner line imprints are 1.5mm-2mm below cutting edge.
- All our clay cutters are designed with a sturdy thick base for extra strength and comfort.
- Clay cutter color may vary depending on material availability. (Usually Beige)
- Our clay cutters are a 3D Printed product made from PLA, a bioplastic made by from plants such as corn, cassava and sugarcane.
How to Use
- Make sure your conditioned clay is rolled firmly on to your work surface.
- Lightly dip the cutting edge of your clay cutter into corn starch.
- Press the clay cutter firmly on to your clay then gently pull it back up.
- For best results repeat from step 2 for additional cuts.
*Corn starch is used to stop clay sticking to the sides of your clay cutter, water can also be used for this.
Cutter Care
- Wipe clean with soapy water.
- Don’t place cutters near the oven or store in direct sunlight. Excessive heat may cause warping.
